29/08/2012:  The U14s fought hard this evening and withstood a late resurrgence from Clooney/Quin to draw in the semi-final at 8 points a piece.  Seamus Casey put Kildysart on the scoreboard within the opening minute and then Emmet McMahon was called upon to defend the lead with a great goal save just 2 minutes later.  Points from Aaron Slobody and Barry Crehan, who converted a free from a difficult angle, increased the Blues lead to 3 nil before Clooney/Quin put up a point in the 16 minute.  Clooney added another point to end the half Kildysart leading 3 points to 2.

Kildysart kept a 1 point lead in the opening 12 minutes of the second half with points from Seamus Casey, Stephen Sheehan and Barry Crehan to lead 6 points to 5.  Then 2 further scores from Barry Crehan had Kildysart leading 8 points to 5 with 4 minutes normal time remaining.  Clooney/Quin were able to claw back into the game in the last few minutes and scored the tying point in the 52nd minute to require a replay. Best for Kildysart:  Barry Crehan, Kieran O'Brien, Stephen Sheehan, Emmet McMahon.  Date of replay is Wednesday 5th September at Clooney/Quin.
