05/09/2012:  The U14's were beaten in the semi final replay today by a very strong Clooney/Quin team 03-12 to 01-06. Fair play to the team as they gave it all they had and fought hard to the end.  Clooney were winning 7 points to 2 at half time and started strong in the second half.  Despite some very good goalkeeping Clooney scored 3 goals in a short space to extend their lead.  Kildysart scored 01-04 in the second half but it wasn't enough.  Fair play to the team and management as they had an excellent first season in Division 3, topping the table and amassing the largest points difference.  Well done, lads!

Team: Emmet McMahon, Mikey Donnellan, Conor Donnellan, Darragh Watson, Kieran O'Brien, Cormac Ginnane, Seamus Casey (0-1), Stephen Sheehan (1-1), Luke McGrath, Barry Crehan-captain (0-3, 1f), Brian Meaney, Ryan Casey, Aaron Slobody (0-1).
Kildysart U14's moved up to Division 3 for the 2012 season and had a great championship.  The road to the semi-final started on 13th June with a 1 point loss to the Gaels.  This was then followed by 6 wins in a row beating Ennistymon, Newmarket, Kilkee, Doonbeg, Doora/Barefield and Clooney.  At the end of the regular season, Kildysart were joint first with Doora though we beat Doora and had significantly higher points difference.  There was to be a playoff as to who would claim the top spot but both teams agreed to toss for the honours.  Kildysart won the toss and were pitted against 4th place Clooney/Quin in the semi-final.  Well done to the team and management Kevin Kelly, Patrick Casey and Michael O'Connor on a great Championship campaign.
