06/10/2012:  Kildysart had a bye into the West Clare Semi-final and unfortunately lost out to Cooraclare in their first match of the series by score of Kildysart 11 points to 05 04.  Kildysart, who togged out in their soccer jerseys to allow the visitors to wear their blue jerseys, were leading the first half up to 2 minutes before the break. Seamus Casey opened Kildysart's account and then Cooraclare drew level. A free from Stevie Sheehan and 2 back to back points from Ryan Casey had Kildysart ahead 4 points to 1 at the end of the first quarter.  Goalie Emmet McMahon got a foot to Cooraclare's goal attempt but it wasn't enough to stop it and the sides were level again. Diarmuid O'Donnell put Kildysart ahead and Emmet McMahon preserved the lead by blocking a shot on goal. Ryan Casey made a great score from a difficult angle to put Kildysart ahead by 2 points at the 18th minute. Cooraclare then got a brace of goals in as many minutes to lead at half time 6 points to 03 01.

Luke McGrath pointed a free to start the 2nd half but Cooraclare scored 2 back to back points.  Seamus Casey's score returned the margin to 4 points but Cooraclare then scored another brace of goals within a minute to extend their lead.  Kildysart fought back with a Luke McGrath free and 2 points from Stephen Sheehan but it wasn't enough.  Cooraclare added the final point to end the match Kildysart 11 points, Cooraclare 05 04.  Best for Kildysart: Stevie Sheehan, Mikey Donnellan, Seamus Casey and Ryan Casey.  Well done to U13 team and management as this is their first year competing in the West Clare "A" division.
