04/09/2013:  Kildysart U12's had a resounding victory this evening over Kilrush 3-15 to 2-5 in the semi-final and are now headed into the West Clare B Final.  The Blues take on Shannon Gaels who overcame neighbours Coolmeen 5-9 to 4-1 in the other semi-final.

Emmet McMahon started off Kildysart with 1-1 in the opening minute.  Darren Crehan followed with a point and Emmet McMahon converted a free to give Kildysart a 1-3 to no score lead.  Kilrush put over a 45', which Emmet McMahon counteracted with 2 more points for Kildysart.  Kilrush scored a goal to narrow the gap to 5 but then lost an opportunity as they put a penalty wide.  Score at the break was Kildysart 1-7, Kilrush 1-2.

Early on in the second half, Kilrush were awarded another penalty and this time they made no mistake and narrowed the score to 3 with 13 minutes remaining.  This, however, was a wake up call for Kildysart, who went into overdrive and scored 2-6 in the rest of the half, while Kilrush managed only 2 more points.  Final score Kildysart 3-15, Kilrush 2-5.
