Two for Two in Garry Cup

13/04/2013:  Kildysart Intermediates have won both their matches so far this season having been promoted up to the Garry Cup.  Winning by a scoreline of 1-13 to 5 points Kildysart never allowed Breckan's to get in the game.  Damian Murtagh got the first point from a free and with one from Damian Hill and two more from Murtagh, Kildysart kept Breckan's off the scoreboard for the first 10 minutes.  Breckan's scored their second point just 3 minutes before half time but not before John Clancy kicked and fisted 2 points, Damian Murtagh scored another and Ger Kelly converted a free from a difficult angle.  Score at the break Kildysart 8 points to 2.

Ger Kelly continued the onslaught scoring 4 times in the 3rd quarter, while Breckan's added 2 more.  Damian Murtagh added his 5th point and then Keith Murphy blasted the net having received a great pass from Neilie O'Connor.  Breckan's added their final score just before the whistle blew resulting in full time score of Kildysart 1-13 to Breckan's 5 points.  Kildysart had to play with only 14 men when Damian Hill received a straight red during the second half.

Next match sees the Blues travel to Quilty to play Kilmurray Ibrikane over the bank holiday weekend.
