R15/11/15:  Kildysart/Coolmeen won the battle of the amalgamations with a comprehensive win in the West Clare B competition over Doonbeg/Kilkee by a score line of 1-9 to 3 points.  The weather was bad, even for November, with wind and rain and water logged pitch conditions.  Doonbeg/Kilkee had the advantage early on with 2 soft frees but they failed to convert them.  Kildysart/Coolmeen then went on the attack causing Doonbeg/Kilkee to make a goal save and having 1 goal attempt go narrowly wide.  However, it was Doonbeg/Kilkee who opened up the scoring in the 7th minute and Kildysart/Coolmeen responded with point each from Seamus Casey and Emmet McMahon.  Doonbeg/Kilkee brought the side’s level with a point just after the 10th minute but a goal and a point in quick succession from Stevie Sheehan turned the tide of the match to Kildysart/Coolmeen’s favour.  Doonbeg/Kilkee got what turned out to be their last point of the match just before the stroke of half time.  Score at the break 1-3 to 3 points.

The second half was a one sided affair with Kildysart/Coolmeen racking up 6 more points and keeping Doonbeg/Kilkee scoreless.  Fair play to both teams for playing the match in horrible conditions and for keeping the sporting spirit through-out. Final score Kildysart/Coolmeen 1-9, Doonbeg/Kilkee 0-3.

Team: Conor Cusack, JJ Carrig, Dylan O’Halloran, Darren Crehan, Conor Moloney, James Kelly, Stevie Sheehan (1-2), Seamus Casey (0-3), Conor Hassett, Dylan Power (0-1), Diarmuid O’Donnell, Barry McMahon, Emmet McMahon (0-3).  Subs:  Patrick O’Connell, David Murphy, Paul O'Sullivan, Cian Murphy, Fergal Ginnane, Ronan Murphy, Conor Kenny, Fernando de Pinera
