Kil/Cool U15 Grasp Draw in Semi-final

26/10/2012: Kil/Cool staged a comeback to force a replay in the West Clare "A" semi-final in near freezing conditions in Cooraclare this evening. Kil/Cool survived due to Cooraclare's failure to convert a last minute free.  The home side got an early goal and were leading by a goal to a point ten minutes in. Kil/Cool added another point but Cooraclare added two more to lead at half time 1-2 to Kil/Cool's 2 points.

Cooraclare extended their lead early in the second half to 1-7 to 3 points but as it turned out Cooraclare wouldn't score anymore for the remainder of the game.  When Stephen Sheehan's shot found the back of the net it gave Kil/Cool the lifeline they needed.  Kil/Cool then scored another point to leave them only 1 score away from drawing level.  Time was running out for the amalgamation........but Ben Cleary's blast into the net meant it was all level at Cooraclare 1-7 to Kil/Cool 2-4. In the dying minutes, Cooraclare were awarded a free that would see them into the final.  But it was not to be and Kil/Cool live to fight another day. It seems unfathomable that Kildysart and Coolmeen have to face each other on Bank Holiday Monday to see who goes forward to the West Clare "C" final.  Good luck to both teams. Update.
