1 Point Win for Kildysart in Garry Cup Opener

21/03/2015:  Doora/Barefield came to Kildysart for their Garry Cup opener and had 3 scores on the board before Minor Barry Crehan opened the home team's account in the 7th minute.  Kildysart were finding scores hard to come by and fell behind 7 points to 1 just 2 minutes from the break.  However, Keith Murphy gave the Blues a life line when he finished to the net.  Davy McCarthy kept Kildysart in the game with an excellent goal save only seconds later.  Score at the break Kildysart 1-1, Doora/Barefield 7 points.
Kildysart started second half with 3 quick points from Keith Murphy x2 and Brian O'Sullivan to draw level in the opening 3 minutes.  Barry Crehan slotted over the only Kildysart point in the next 15 minutes while Doora/Barefield plied on 4 more to have Kildysart trail 1-5 to 11 points with 7 minutes to go.  Then points from Brian O'Sullivan and Eoin Cleary put Kildysart just 1 point in arrears with 4 minutes to go - Kildysart 1-7,  Doora/Barefield 11 points. Kieran Eyres's accuracy from placed balls put the sides level in the 56 minute and gave Kildysart the winning point in the 58th minute. Doora/Barefield were unable to find the equaliser in the remaining minutes. Final score Kildysart 1-9, Doora/Barefield 11 points.
