07/06/2018:  Weekly update of results, fixtures, lotto and other news.

There was no winner in this week's lotto but the lucky dip winners are:
€50 - Christy O'Connor, Coolmeen
€30 - Noel King, Kilydsart
€30 - Lorraine Hill, Ballynacally
€30 - Leo/Jim/Mick, Corner Bar
€30 - Neil & Orla O'Connor, Cahercon
€30 - Noreen Doohan, Ballylean

Best of luck to Kildysart Intermediates in their final Garry Cup match on Saturday in Kilrush at 4pm.  Both teams are fighting to stay in the Garry Cup for 2019.  A win or a draw for Kildysart will secure their spot by virtue of our more favourable points difference.  A draw for Kilrush and they have to depend on other outcomes not to join Coolmeen in the drop zone.  So make the difference in the stands and come out in big numbers to Kilrush.

Kildysart Junior B have topped the table in Division 6 and have been undefeated all season, having received a walkover from St. Breckan's last weekend.
They now await the outcome of the semi-final between Moy and St. Breckan's on the 16th of June.

The Ladies Junior B, having already qualified for the semi-final,  continue their championship season in the coming weeks with an away match on 21st June to Cuil Gaels.  They play East Clare Gaels in the last round match on or before 1st July.

02/05/2018:  There was no winner in this week's lotto but the lucky dip winners were:

€50 Gerry Corry,              Coolmeen
€30 Neill O’Connor,          Cahercon
€30 Aidan Corry,                   Coolin
€30 Teresa O’Brien,             Rosshill
€30 Claire Briggs,     c/o Corner Bar
€30 Brian Moloney,           Kildysart

A spirited effort by the Intermediates wasn't enough to overcome Cratloe in round 6 of the Garry Cup at the weekend.  It's do or die now as the team prepare to take on Kilrush at the end of May.  A draw or a win will secure their status in Garry Cup for 2019.  Kildysart 1-11, Cratloe 0-16.  Welcome back to Robert Eyres who has returned after a long injury.  The team are back in action on the 13th May when they host Kilkee in the O'Gorman Cup.

The Ladies Junior B continue their winning ways with a big win over neighbours Fergus Rovers.  Kildysart 7-10, Fergus Rovers(2) 3-5.  That makes 4 from 4 for the Ladies, winning their opening 2 league and 2 championship matches.  Their next match is away to Doora Barefield during the week of 14th May.

The U16 Ladies had a big win on Thursday last when they took on the previously unbeaten Clooney Quin.  Kildysart 3-10, CQ 3-3.  They must win their next match for a place in the U16C Cup final.

Hard luck to the U12 Ladies who hosted Liscannor on a bright Sunday morning at 10am.  This team is very young but they still played some lovely football.

Kildysart/Coolmeen U16 lost to Gaels/Kilmihil on Monday last Kil/Cool 2-12, G/K 4-9.

Kildysart U12's took part in a blitz with the Banner on Sunday evening with the following results: Kildysart (1) 6-10, Banner 1-3.  Kildysart (2) 4-4 to Banner 4-6. So great stuff.

This week's action sees the men's Junior B team host Shannon Gaels on Thursday at 7pm.

Wishing best of luck to coaches John Byrne and Roisin Meaney and the Bosco Junior Ladies team as they face Meanscoil San Nicolas in a Munster Final tomorrow (Thursday) in Oola at noon.  Bosco Ladies are going for the Double as they won the Senior Munster final in April.

We wish Emma Byrne, Sarah Casey, Amy Murphy, Sinead Kelly, Kyla Foley and the rest of the Clare U16's the best of luck in the Munster B Final on Saturday in Mallow at 3:45.

Commiserations to Conor Moloney and the Ennis U16 Rugby club who lost the All Ireland at the weekend.  It was a great achievement to get there.

County Board tickets are currently on sale from any member of the executive.  This is great value as the tickets are sold at €30.

Monster Bingo tickets are also on sale for €20 for the 12th May.  This is a fun night out - if interested please contact Tricia at 086 089 8822.

The club is hosting boys feile semi finals/final Sunday.  Good luck to all teams involved.

25/04/2018:  There was no winner in this week's lotto but the lucky dip winners were:

€50 Eimer Heekin c/o J Cavanagh
€30 Cormac Ginnane, Crovraghan
€30 Christy Donnellan, Kildysart
€30 Ian Cronin, Kildysart
€30 B. Eustace & J. Hogan, Kildysart
€30 Una Shannon, Cranny

It was a great weekend for football results with the Intermediates beating Coolmeen in the Garry Cup to help their status regarding relegation.  There was a match report in the Clare People.

Congrats to the Ladies Jr B who've continued their winning ways in their first round of Championship with a win over Crusheen.  See the website for both match reports.

The Junior B have gotten their Division 6 League campaign off to a great start with three wins in a row over Moy, Wolfetones and Kilmihil.  They are currently in joint #1 spot in the table with St. Brecken's but Kildysart have a game in hand.  They face Shannon Gaels at home on the May bank holiday weekend, followed by Coolmeen a fortnight later and their last match will be a showdown with St. Breckan's.

This weekend is full of football starting with tomorrow at 7:15 when the U16 ladies take on Clooney/Quin.  This is a must-win for the team if they want to remain in Cup contention.

Friday night sees Fergus Rovers return to face the Ladies Junior B in a championship match at 7pm.  The last match between the sides a fortnight ago was a thriller which saw Kildysart eek out a 1 point win after mounting a massive comeback.

Sunday sees the Intermediates take on Cratloe in their penultimate game of the Garry Cup at noon.  Results are needed in the next two matches to ensure an escape from relegation.  The ladies U12 will be the curtain riser for Sunday with a throw time of 10am v Liscannor.

Monday sees the Kildysart/Coolmeen team travel to play Gaels/Kilmihil in the B Championship.

17/04/2018:  There was no winner in this week's lotto but the lucky dip winners were:

€50 Romeo, Kildysart

€30 Michael Corry, Clondrina
€30 Derek Vernon, Kildysart
€30 Michael McInerney, Hilltop
€30 James & Nicole Quinn, Kildysart

Best of luck to the Ladies U16 team who travel to Coolmeen on Wednesday to take on Cuil Gaels at 6:30

Congrats to the Intermediates on their comeback draw with Kilmihil.  Kildysart have 2 points in Garry Cup after drawing their last 2 matches to Door Barefield & Kilmihil and are sitting second-last in the table. This Saturday 21st April, Kildysart travel to Coolmeen, where they face bottom-of-the-table Coolmeen, who are on zero points. A win here for Kildysart would improve their prospects of avoiding relegation. Both teams face Kilrush (on 2 points) and Cratloe (on 4 points) in their last two matches.  See report from the Clare People.

Well done to the Ladies Junior 2, who made a huge comeback to beat Fergus Rovers 2 by 1 point on Friday night last, Kildysart 2-15, Rovers 5-5.  See match report
Next match for them in the Championship opener on Sunday 22 April at 1pm in Crusheen.

Hard luck to the Ladies U12 who hosted Cuil Gaels on Saturday.  Kildysart 4-2, Cuil Gaels 5-11

Hard luck to the Kildysart/Coolmeen U16's who lost to Cratloe 03.11 to 00.14.
