16/04/2015: Kildysart will have a U14 team in the 2015 championship. As this is their first year, they are competing in Division D. We wish them every success.
02/09/2013: The Kildysart Ladies U12 team had a very exciting first season which culminated in getting to a Shield Final. Reaching the final was a great achievement and is a credit to the team in their first year out. Unfortunately, the girls lost the final to Burren Gaels B 1-3 to 3 points. The loss was an unfitting end to a great season and a wonderful bunch of girls who played their heart out in the final and in all their matches. Co-captains Ruth Finucane and Chloe Sheehan led the girls out on the field and playing with the breeze in the first half the Girls in Blue led at the break 3 points to 1 with points from Rachel Conway, Megan Sheehan and Katie Donnellan. With the wind at their backs in the second half, Burren Gaels came out strong and scored 1-2 to win the match. This year was a very special year for all involved and we are looking forward to an even better next season. There was an "End of Season" party in the hall after the match and it was enjoyed by all.

Celebrating a Great First Season
25/05/2013: Kildysart Ladies U12 team got off to a perfect start in their Championship opener with a big win over Kilrush B on Saturday last in front of a large home crowd. Kilrush played some good football and kept the game very competitive way into the second half. Kildysart enjoyed only the smallest of margins at half time leading 2-1. Roisin Donnellan opened the account for Kildysart with a point in the 2nd minute. Kilrush followed a few minutes later with a point to level the match. A goal save by Ruth Finucane and excellent work by the backs lead by Chloe Sheehan, Sarah Casey and the tireless Sinéad Kelly, helped to keep Kilrush from further scores. Captain Amy Murphy put the Blues ahead with a well taken free and the score at the break was Kildysart 2 Kilrush 1.
Ruth Finucane came out of goals and joined Katie Donnellan in mid field and was an inspiration to the team as she started off the scoring for Kildysart in the 2nd half. Megan Sheehan put further distance between the sides and Rachel Conway's goal save helped preserve the Blues' lead. Fowards Eve Garry, Jacinta Casey-vice captain and Caitlin Casey helped to ensure the ball stayed in the Kildysart half of the pitch. Roisin Donnellan's goal in the 34th minute created some space and spurred the girls on. An excellent point by Katie Donnellan and a rocket to the net by Rachel Conway put Kildysart ahead 2-5 to 1 point and this was the final result. Subs Megan Cooney, Rachel O'Sullivan and new-comer Emma Byrne provided fresh legs to the team and played some very good football.
Kildysart: Ruth Finucane (0-1), Sarah Casey, Chloe Sheehan, Megan Sheehan (0-1), Sinéad Kelly, Rachel Conway (1-0), Katie Donnellan (0-1) Roisin Donnellan (1-1), Caitlin Casey, Amy Murphy (0-1, 1f), Jacinta Casey, Eve Garry. Subs Megan Cooney, Rachel O'Sullivan, Emma Byrne.
The Kildysart team, which includes 8 girls from the Kildysart National School Girls’ team who contested the Cumann na mBunscol final last June played good football but were overcome by a stronger Kilmihil team. Final score was 3-5 to 1 point, with captain Chloe Sheehan getting us on the scoreboard. Thanks to the great support from the stands who braved the artic-like conditions to cheer the girls on. Our next match is on Saturday 30th March away to Coolmeen at 10am. Back row: Katie Donnellan, Megan Sheehan, Roisin Donnellan, Ruth Finucane, Chloe Sheehan, Sinéad Kelly, Rachel Conway, Zoe Nagle
